Privacy Policy — World Cup 2026: Scores & Markets

This browser extension ("the extension") shows live FIFA World Cup 2026 scores and public prediction-market probabilities. This policy explains exactly what data it handles.

What the extension stores

The extension stores the following locally in your browser (via chrome.storage.local):

• The football-data.org API key you enter, used to request scores.
• Your preferences: market search term, alert on/off, and any team names you choose to follow.
• A short-lived cache of match and market data (to reduce network calls).

This information never leaves your device except as described below, and is never transmitted to the developer.

Network requests

To function, the extension sends requests to two third-party services:

• football-data.org — receives your API key in order to return World Cup match data. See their privacy policy at football-data.org.
• Polymarket Gamma API — receives anonymous, read-only requests for public prediction-market data. No personal data is sent.

The extension does not send your data to any other server, and the developer does not collect, receive, or have access to it.

What the extension does not do

• No analytics or tracking.
• No advertising.
• No selling or sharing of personal data.
• No collection of browsing history or activity on other sites.

Data retention & deletion

All stored data lives only in your browser. Removing the extension, or clearing its storage, deletes it permanently.

The use of information received from this extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
